Bylaws added! - Friday, February 15, 2008
In keeping with the Association's philosophy of a transparent organization, the Bylaws have been added to the Corporate Documents page under the About Us tab on the top menu.  All other Association tax, legal, financial, and goverance documents can also be found under the About Us menu to members while logged in.

Welcome to the National Association of Volunteer Search And Rescue Teams, Inc.  (NAVSAR).

After nearly two years of working to lay the foundation, NAVSAR is ready to begin accepting members and building a successful Association solely dedicated to the support of volunteer search and rescue teams in the United States.  Please click here to view the membership packages available with benefits available.

The National Association of Volunteer Search and Rescue Teams, Inc. (NAVSAR) is committed to providing financial and material support to the nation’s volunteer search and rescue teams.  The volunteer organizations assist their local communities to help locate missing persons and aid in times of disaster.  Because these organizations are largely non-governmental organizations, they receive no government funding and rely on donations and support from their communities to provide their essential services.

    Search & Rescue president in head-on collision
    Graham County Search and Rescue President Ron Glaspie, 54, of Safford was treated and released from the Mount Graham Regional Medical Center after being involved in a head-on collision Wednesday afternoon. Dustin G. Youngblood, 21, of Safford didn't fare as well and was airlifted to a Tucson hospital.

    Search continues for Fugate, missing since 1980
    On Saturday, August 21, 2010, the Cochise County Search and Rescue Team deployed on a training mission in the Pinery Canyon Road area. Information was received by Sheriffâs Office Investigators that several wells in the area should be searched to ensure there was no evidence and/or a body in that area related to an open 1980 Missing Persons case.

    Search and rescue teams from the Bolivar County Emergency Management Agency have been out on the Mississippi River since early Wednesday morning. They received a call before sunrise that a man was in the river.

    Search for missing Eads man continues
    The search continued Thursday at Shelby Farms for a missing Eads man who was last seen alive nearly a week ago.
