Bylaws added! - Friday, February 15, 2008
In keeping with the Association's philosophy of a transparent organization, the Bylaws have been added to the Corporate Documents page under the About Us tab on the top menu.  All other Association tax, legal, financial, and goverance documents can also be found under the About Us menu to members while logged in.

NAVSAR has been recognized as a non-profit, tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  The effective date of exemption is 2/15/2006.

    Search warrant led to animal rescue effort (Parkersburg News and Sentinel)
    PARKERSBURG - Complaints about pollution and animal living conditions led to a what has become the largest animal rescue effort ever conducted in West Virginia. According to the warrant signed by Wood County Magistrate Joyce Purkey on Aug. 14, Wood County Sheriff's Deputy Robert G. Sims said the search was related to environmental offenses at the site of Whispering Oaks Kennel in Wood County.

    Sheriff Davis says the biggest adjustment they have already made is that they will now allow outside agencies besides the Sheriff's Office to dispatch or request a search and rescue.
