What is NAVSAR?
-
NAVSAR was born from the need of volunteer search and rescue teams to have ongoing support. With strength in numbers, teams can obtain better pricing on equipment and supplies. Additionally by creating a central point to obtain public, private, and foundation grants and gifts, NAVSAR aspires to provide teams with the financial ability to secure needed training and equipment.
-
An organization of volunteers and managed by volunteers, 100% of funds donated to NAVSAR are used to benefit search and rescue teams.
NAVSAR members will benefit in several ways;
-
Financial aid for training, education, and equipment expenses.
-
Access to a directory of grants (specific to SAR needs!).
-
Grant writing assistance for teams.
-
Fundraising tools and ideas.
-
Directory of training and certification opportunities.
-
Discounted "wholesale cost" equipment and supplies for members.
-
Group buying power on large purchases.
-
